“Disability will affect the lives of everyone at some point in their life, it is time society changed to acknowledge this” – One of the key challenges for a person with a disability is to be seen by the public, to be portrayed in the media, treated by health care professionals, as an individual with abilities, and not just seen as a disability. The primary focus of Disabled World is to provide information to the Public, Disability Community and Organizations, as well as Disabled Rights Campaigners, via our News Articles, Press Releases, and Videos.

About 1 in 5 people in America currently has a disability. Some people are born with one, others have them as a result of an illness or injury, and some people develop them as they age. Almost all of us will have a disability at some point in our lives. Disabilities make it harder to do normal daily activities. They may limit what people can do physically or mentally, or they can affect your senses. Disability does not mean unable, most People with Disabilities can – and do – work, play, learn, and enjoy full, healthy lives. Mobility aids and assistive devices can make daily tasks easier.
