Changing Paces was the first Disability Awareness Training Firm in Ontario to have developed, tested and implemented an Accessible Customer Service Training<\/a> program.<\/strong><\/p>\n This training program was developed by\u00a0TRISH ROBICHAUD<\/strong>\u00a0in response to the AODA<\/a> and the Customer Service Standard\u2019s training requirement and has been highly regarded across the province by countless municipalities, private sector companies as well as non-profit organizations alike.<\/span><\/p>\n Changing Paces\u2019 facilitators are people with disabilities<\/strong>, caregivers or professional advocates, people living & breathing the content in the full scope of their lives. She is Owner and Founder of Changing Paces.<\/span><\/p>\n Trained in the facilitation of adult educatio<\/span>n, support counseling, self-advocacy, social action, and life skills,\u00a0Trish has\u00a0been providing coaching, counseling and advocacy support to people with chronic illness or disability for well over 25 years. She has been facilitating disability awareness training and consulting with organizations in the private, non-profit, public and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>municipal sectors for over 15 years.<\/span><\/p>\n Trish was the keynote speaker for the accessibility conference hosted by the Ontario Public Service\u2019s Diversity Office of the Ministry of Government Services in May 2009. She served on\u00a0the York Region Accessibility Advisory Committee from 2003 to 2010, finishing her 2nd term as Vice-Chair.<\/span><\/p>\n Recognized by the MS Society of Canada<\/a> in 2004 as their top volunteer in Ontario, Trish went on to be honoured as their top volunteer in Canada as well that year. This after having founded and served her local chapter for 14 years.<\/span><\/p>\n In January 2013\u00a0Trish served as an expert panelist for Justice Canada\u2019s webcast presentation in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Her services include but are not limited to change-inspiring workshops, motivational talks, accessibility program development and providing her subject matter expertise on a variety of accessibility-focused projects.<\/span><\/p>\n Trish\u2019s unique background, together with her natural flair for facilitation, leadership, and humour, positions her as an appropriate choice to ensure a dynamic educational experience or motivational event for your organization. She has also taught part-time for York University\/Seneca College in the Human Resources and Fire Services program. Her background also includes diverse committee experience. (WSIB, local hospital Board, PAO, IAPA and AODA, Ministry of Health & Long Term Care Citizen Council).<\/span><\/p>\n Janice has been responsible for a decrease in human rights complaints, conducting investigations and preparing reports and recommendations. The cases she has handled have included sensitive employee relations and human rights issues and have demonstrated the use of conflict resolution and effective mediation skills at bargaining and grievance sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n Janice has designed and implemented successful human rights \/ antibullying programs and has delivered numerous leadership training sessions.\u00a0As well, she has significant experience dealing with modified work and accommodation issues and hiring staff to work with vulnerable clients.<\/span><\/p>\n She has extensive knowledge of the Human Resources function across complex groups and a passion for role modeling leadership and productivity and developing talent.<\/span><\/p>\n Janice\u2019s interests include not surprisingly, human rights issues, family of course, some volunteer work, caring for rescue animals and most importantly, hockey.
